Protests erupt in Jordan

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Protesters in support of the Arab Spring-inspired reform movement gathered near the Jordanian capital’s Husseini mosque on Friday to commemorate the second anniversary of the organization. Protesters chanted slogans requesting true reforms from the government and asking for the end of corruption in the country. These latest protests come in the run up to the first parliamentary elections to take place in the country since the Arab Spring began almost two years ago. The Muslim Brotherhood has announced that its political party, the Islamic Action Front, will boycott the elections which are scheduled for January 23.
