According to a report from the Times of London, the Obama administration has secretly launched a covert operation to send heavy weapons to the foreign backed militant groups in Syria. The weapons are believed to be taken from old weapons stockpiles after former Libyan dictator Moammar Gaddafi was deposed and later killed. The weapons were sold to the US and shuttled to other war-torn regions for use.
