Sometimes there are great minds in this world that bring the rest of the population into a new era overnight. Today, science is advancing at such an exponential rate that the prospects and possibilities the future may hold are appraised as a fad or an entitlement more often than as an achievement. Some people look at technology as nothing more than perfecting conveniences. Others observe it as a means of enhancing humanity. Dmitry Itskov is the ‘Russia 2045’ movement founder; New Media Stars president and appears to revere science as the gateway to spirituality.
The promotional, or even evangelical, video starts by explaining humanity’s sad state of affairs. It then begins to take on quasi-spiritual, scientific analysis of an ideology that could prove to be our savior; followed by a timeline of predictions and declarations on how that ideology is to become reality. It concludes with how this will lead us to “spirituality.”
The Verge did an article on Dmitry and 2045 earlier this year and came up with this conclusion: “Of course, this all sounds rather far-fetched, and so far the group is a long way from its goal. While researchers have built a realistic-looking android, right now it can’t do much more than blink and move its fingers — it seems unlikely that in less than a decade it will be a functioning mind-controlled robot. Then again, the group’s goals for beyond 2045 are even more outlandish, including everything from allowing humans to “control reality by thought” and “manage the course of history” to making it possible for everyone to “create a personal universe.” While these dreams will very likely remain just that for the foreseeable future, at the very least the project has the support of the Dalai Lama.”
This brings us further down the rabbit hole of how this could ever be considered “spiritual,” but the Dalai Lama is far from being the only spiritual leader that supports the 2045 initiative. He is among a number of spiritual leaders that express at least partial fulfillment of their religion’s ultimate purpose through participatory evolution. These spiritual leaders submit to the ideology of evolution, and believe this is the path that will bring them and their beliefs into the next supernatural stage of life.

This is not to paint Dmitry Itskov as the Antichrist or as The Prophet, but after reviewing these videos, one cannot deny that Dmitry and his team are in fact propagating their scientific endeavors as the savior of humanity and even of spirituality.

Many think that this could never happen. They believe that technology isn’t far from a plateau, but the team from 2045 seem to be as determined as they are imaginative, and they are not the only ones that are working towards this era of “Neo Humanity”.
