Guidance For These Days – Bobby Conner – November 2, 2010

In this time of global gloom, and deep darkness, when many are stumbling about in despair, being overwhelmed with confusion and doubt. We however as followers of Christ Jesus, have an awesome opportunity, we must grasp the keys of Divine Wisdom, knowing how to encourage yourself in the Lord, don’t wobble or grow weary, hold fast to your destiny and access heaven’s help to overcome the trials and adversities ahead. You were born for this time, truly you are in the kingdom for such a time as this (Esther 4:14). Also remember the kingdom of God is within you for just such a time as this.

Never doubt it God Himself has chosen you to be on earth in this crucial time in history. This is your destiny, arise take a bold stand for Truth, make a difference in the world, you are salt and light, Holy Spirit has anointed you with a powerful unction to function. You are uniquely gifted to navigate these times, guided by the Spirit of Truth see Nehemiah 9:20.

The Works of God, is the title and theme of this year’s Shepherd’s Rod, this is the record of my encounter with the LORD and revelatory insights on The Day of Atonement.

PREPARE TO BEHOLD “THE WORKS OF THE LORD!”

Many have questions, concerning times and seasons. What season is this? It is the season of reaping! Paul informs us that we should not be deceived we will reap whatever we have sown. This is extremely encouraging for many have been busy sowing years of intercession, praying that God will fill this earth with His glory. Asking that Christ Jesus get His due reward. Many have joined together beseeching heaven to see God’s Kingdom established. This is a season of answered prayers (2 Corinthians 6:2 and Isaiah 49:8). The corporate cry “Thy Kingdom Come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven”, will be answered.

Approaching these end-times, we discover, it will be a season of great harvest; let’s enter this time with joy and confidence, with the shouts of praise and worship. Now is not the time to be in defeat or despair we are called to walk in freedom and liberty, in every area of our life. Therefore our heart should be filled with joy and victory.

“When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter. And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us, And we are glad.”

—Psalms 126:1–6

The great harvest has begun! Now is the time to enter the Lord’s “Harvest Field,” there “WE SHALL BEHOLD THE WORKS OF THE LORD.” Acts 1:8 declares that we have received the Spirit of God for purpose and power. We are to be effective tools in the harvest field.

Recently I was crying out to the Lord, the plea of Psalms 90:16–17, “Oh, Lord let your works appear!” I repeated this plea several times, when suddenly the Lord spoke and said; “Go to work!” If we are to see the works of the Lord we must be willing to go to work in His harvest field. Approach these days with confidence knowing we are not alone in the task assigned us, the Lord is with us see Joshua 1:9.

Multitudes are asking the same questions:

What is God saying? What is the Word of the Lord for 2011?

Due to the critical hour we are living in, demands that we know what God is speaking. So this is an exceptionally important question. However there is a more important question before us!

What is GOD DOING?

Yes, without question, we must have ears to hear what God is saying, but it is extremely important as well to have eyes to see what God is doing! Ask the Spirit of God to open your spiritual eyes to see into the works and ways of God (Ephesians 1:17–18). It is the plan and purpose of God to release to you eyes to see and hears to hear see Matthew 13:16.

None can afford to be neutral or non-committed; these days call for us to take a bold stand for truth. May you be stimulated and deeply stirred to seek the Lord with all your heart for insights. If we commit to put all our heart into the things of God, great will be the reward.

Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you. Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

—Jeremiah 29:12–13 AMP

Depend upon the Spirit of Truth to be your Guide and Teacher, He will reveal insights and release understanding.

But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.

—John 14:26 AMP

These are dark dangerous days (2 Timothy 3:1), we desperately need Divine Guidance (Psalms 119:130). Ask the Holy Spirit of God to give you insights and understanding to what is revealed (James 1:5). Allow the Spirit of Truth to guide you ever deeper into the Wisdom of the Ages. Yes indeed, deep is calling to the deep, at this decisive time in history (Psalms 42:7). This is a season that Hidden Manna is being released (Revelation 2:17). None need to stand idle this is the time of advancement and promotion in the Kingdom of God. Make up your mind you are going to be a world changer, not content to continue business as usual. You are anointed to be catalyst for extreme and swift change. Just as young David, with the heart of a warrior, approaching the mocking jeers of Goliath you too will recognize that there is a “divine cause” see 1 Samuel 17:29.

The Spirit of God will reveal to the seeking heart; secrets from God (Deuteronomy 29:29). Face the future with faith knowing that God Almighty has given His good Spirit to instruct us in the way we should go (Nehemiah 9:20). None need to stumble in the dark, all of us can walk boldly in the light of God’s revealed will (Psalms 119:105).

Be confident The Spirit of God is at work! He is revealing the POWER of GOD! Prepare to behold the evidence of God at work! God is answering the plea revealed in Psalms 90:16–17, “Let Your work appear to Your servants, And Your glory to their children. And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, And establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands.”

The desperate cries of multitudes continues to ascend be- fore heaven, the people of God are tired of ritual, weary with mere words, their cry is to see the hand of God moving in the land, to behold the Lord in His Splendor and power. Mere words, and polished programs are not enough to bring in the glory of God, and release the power of His Kingdom. It is time for action (1 Corinthians 4:20).

If we are to see the kingdom of God revealed, it is imperative that we have a true demonstration of God’s power:

“And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”

—1 Corinthians 2:1–5

This heartfelt cry, to behold God’s power will be answered! The Spirit of God will reveal the Heart of God and the hand of God working mightily in these days. The Lord said: “My people are becoming power hungry for all the right reasons!”

Prepare yourself to be an instrument in the Master’s hand, fill your heart with bold faith, having unshakable confidence in the Spirit of God that dwells within you, to accomplish any and all task you are assigned to do.

“Such is the reliance and confidence that we have through Christ toward and with reference to God. Not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from God.

[It is He] Who has qualified us [making us to be fit and worthy and sufficient] as ministers and dispensers of a new covenant [of salvation through Christ], not [ministers] of the letter (of legally written code) but of the Spirit; for the code [of the Law] kills, but the [Holy] Spirit makes alive.

—2 Corinthians 3:4–6 AMP

Let your expectation soar higher and higher expect to see signs and wonders that will astound the mind of man (Ephesians 3:20–21). It is time for mankind to behold the awesome God of power, in such a bold unmistakable manner as to amaze and astonish them (Acts 3:10).

A great excitement is stirring in the heavens; myriads of angels are preparing to move on behalf of God’s people. Expect to be stunned by the reality of God. We are seeing two events unfold at the same time, a falling away, and a growing radical hunger for knowing the Living God.

RADICAL LOVE PRODUCING A BURNING HOT ZEAL

Christ Jesus reveals that one of the characteristics of the last days will be the love of many will have grown cold. “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold” (Matthew 24:12). Nevertheless, the Lord will have His harvest; His workers will be ablaze with His passion and power just as the early disciples turned their world upside down for Christ we too shall experience the same event.

The Lord is calling us to return to HIM, repent and to love Him with all our heart, and live in radical love.

“Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lamp stand from its place—unless you repent.”

—Revelation 2:4–5

Within the heart of God’s people a longing to live in His presence grows ever stronger. Resulting in a turning away for the lust of the flesh, seeking to please the Lord in every area of life.

“For this reason we also, from the day we heard of it, have not ceased to pray and make [special] request for you, [asking] that you may be filled with the full (deep and clear) knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom [[i] in comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God] and in understanding and discernment of spiritual things—That you may walk (live and conduct yourselves) in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him and desiring to please Him in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and increasing in and by the knowledge of God [with fuller, deeper, and clearer insight, [k] acquaintance, and recognition].”

—Colossians 1:9–10

God is calling for a genuine response to what He is saying as well as doing none can remain neutral and dispassionate. God is calling for burning hot zeal, willing warriors to arise to defend the faith:

Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.
